What Is Chapter 13 Bankruptcy?
Often called the wage earner's plan, Chapter 13 bankruptcy offers people with a steady source of income the opportunity to repay their debts over an extended time period. In a Chapter 13 filing, you agree to restructure your debt, repaying creditors over a period of three to five years. In addition, if you pay the debt according to the repayment agreement, your debts will be discharged.
